Letter X, Color yellow

This week we learned about the letter "x" and color yellow. We began each day with toy time. All the boys seem to love the two car garages and box of cars we have here. We then move to snack time, aka lesson time. We do flashcards and talk about colors and letters. They do really well during the lesson time, but 10 minutes later seem to forget.
Then we do craft time; usually one at a time. Everyone participated each day, so that was fun. Gavin is so careful, Seth is so colorful, Royce loves to add more and more paint to one spot, Maddie just wants to take over, and Chase is just along for the ride.
The first day I asked them if they wanted to go see the dog, and they all yelled "yes!" So we headed outdoors. Mads stayed inside crying because she wanted to play in the front yard. As soon as the boys were outside and saw the very excited dog, they broke out in tears. I managed to have all kids crying at once. I let them all huddle on my lap and tried to calm them and let them see that Raheem was really nice. They weren't buying it, but at least they stopped crying. I took Raheem in the bedroom, and the rest of the day all three of the boys kept saying, "Nice dog."

Gavin definitely wins neatness award. He was so precise in his painting that when I pulled the tape off, there was no distinguishable "x".
